A few weekends ago I photographed my first wedding of 2025 at Aurora Farms in South Carolina for Alexa and Brendan — and it was the perfect way to start the season! The spring weather showed up just right, with soft sunshine, budding trees, and that calm, easy energy that makes everything feel a little lighter.

Aurora Farms is such a lovely venue, but the real standout is the massive willow tree on the lawn. It’s the perfect backdrop for photos. And the gazebo is great for a more private moment and reading vows. One of the sweetest moments: the groom tearing up as he saw his bride walk down the aisle. Completely unfiltered and genuine.

The rest of the day unfolded naturally — lots of happy tears, easy laughter, and the kind of small, in-between moments that say everything. If this wedding was any indication, 2025 is going to be a season to remember.
